A man who was arrested on Friday for parading a tribal woman naked through a village near Jamshedpur will now also be charged with rape. The accused, one Gambhir Singh, had earlier been booked for assault, but a fresh complaint filed by the victim has prompted police to charge him with rape too.

The overhype of 2016 surgical strike and politicization of army operations isn't a good thing, said Lt General (retired) D S Hooda, who was the Northern Army Commander when the attack happened. Hooda said too much talk happened on both sides regarding the operation and it was not good.
